Mystic, CT Wedding | V & R

Venue: Private Residence, Mystic, CT // V’s Custom Wedding Dresses: Wiederhoeft // R’s Suit: Brooks Brothers // Band: A House On Fire

Weddings at family homes always hit different. The mid-century house with a total Wes Anderson vibe, had that layered, lived-in feeling you can’t fake—wood walls warmed by years of memories, sun pouring through windows, and the kind of furniture that’s probably been rearranged a thousand times but never replaced. Friends and family roamed about, half-dressed, laughing, stepping over bags and curling irons, making it work like only a close crew can.

V’s dresses were next-level. Custom-crafted by the incredible Wiederhoeft, it started as her mom’s wedding dress from Bergdorf‘s. Yep, straight out of the ’80s, and got completely reimagined. So cool!

This was the kind of wedding where everything was loud in all the right ways: full of color, laughter, music, squirt gun fights, and people who showed up not just to witness V & R’s love, but to fully celebrate it. From heartfelt vows to the dance party that moved from under the tent to the lawn, the day had this easy, contagious energy that never let up. You could feel how much these two are loved, and how much fun everyone had just being part of it all. It was all sorts of good chaos, the type that lingers in the best way.
